- Wear light cotton clothes. This will aid circulation of air between the clothes and the body.
- Drink a lot of water. Summertime is the best time to drink 8 glasses of water a day. You may encourage them to drink fluids by offering them fruit juices.
- Consider using sun protection or sunscreen if you intend to go outdoors especially for a long period of time.
- Refrain from going outdoors especially from 10:00 am to 4pm. This is the time where the sun blazes real hot.
- Take a bath twice a day to make you cool and rejuvenated all day long. The perfect time to take a bath is at the middle of the day and the other at 6 pm or before going to sleep. Your toddlers can also take a bath at nighttime for as longs as they don’t have fever, cough or colds.
- For kids who love to play a lot, put a paper on their back to prevent their sweat to drench their clothes. Paper is far more absorbent than clothes and at the same time dries faster.

I guess going outdoor even at 3pm is not a good idea. Last year, Manila reaches its highest peak of temperature at around 3 pm. According to Awake magazine, around 4pm is the best time to go outdoor. On my experience, this is true.
